MY NEXT GRAPHIC NOVEL COMING END OF 2008 WORLDWIDE

Finally finished my first graphic Novel project almost two years in the making " The Unknown " . With having established my self publishing company now BIONIC UNIT Media and Publishing, there is a lot more coming down the pipeline . . . the next project I already started working on is the second Graphic Novel called " The Other Side " a psychological action thriller. Also a few more will be announced very soon : ) Here is the wip website for my next project " The Other Side "
This Graphic Novel is going to contain some images related to the story, but not a full on art book like " The Unknown " project. I will fully paint this book, digital paintings of scenes, characters and environments. I am excited to put the synopsis up there soon, and share it with the rest of the world. I ma working on this non-stop right now, and hopefully it will be out right after 2008 Summer and again for sure at Amazon.com
You can already pre-order " " The Unknown " Graphic Novel and save a lot of money, especially considering this book being filled with over 150 pages of artwork.

Sony 24P HVR-H1U HDV camcorder announced

Here is the Camera I am planning on buying to start shooting for fun. Sony has announced a true 24P camcorder aimed at professionals. Going the HVX-200 route, you can record simultaneously to tape and/or an attachable hard-disk recording unit (HVR-DR60). The DR60 also has a 14-second buffer which will record 14-seconds up until the user presses the record button. That sounds handy. Other features of this new camcorder include:

A timecode preset function
A TC Link to synchronize time codes
Two XLR microphone inputs for independent sound recording
A Camera Profile feature to adjust the camera settings of multiple cameras for multi-camera operations using MemoryStick Duo™ media
A 3.5-inch (viewable area, measured diagonally) Clear Photo LCD plus™ viewing screen

D'Artiste Matte Painting Book

I was one of the Authors of this Matte Painting Book, with Dylan Cole, and Chris Stoski both Matte Painters as well. The publisher Ballsitic Publishing recently told me they are going into the third print run, and they sold 5000 copies in less then 8 months the first printing. Thought I'll share this on my blog here. This is a quick 30 minuted Matte Painting I did using Photoshop, while teaching Dramatic Lighting and scenery for Film at the Art Center College and Design in Pasadena California.

Here is one of the promo covers I finished for my Graphic Novel " THE UNKNOWN " which will be in stores Fall 2007 worldwide in partnership with Design Studio Press and my own Independent Studio Bionic Unit Studios and Design Studio Press. This is a 178 page Art oF Book filled with 2D and 3D development concept art. But I also decided to draw the Issue#0 Comic Book which will be included on the back pages of the book. There will be 17 pages of Issue#0, several promo pinups , misc art and a sketchbook section.
